Registration Information

REGISTERING FOR THE TDA 2024/2025 SEASON

The 2024/2025 season registration will be available this summer.

Classes are offered in Thorndale at:

The following highlights some information about our season registration.

REGISTRATION FEE

A non-refundable registration fee of $45.00 per family is required at the time of registration. The registration fee includes a year-end Showcase video.

COSTUMES & SHOWCASE

There is a $100.00 non-refundable costume fee for each class a student is enrolled in with the exception of technique classes. This costume is used for the year-end Showcase. Costume fees are due at registration.

The costume fee may or may not cover the entire cost of the costume. Where the cost exceeds the deposit families will be billed for the amount owing.

Costumes are ordered from Canadian and American companies. We order costumes in the sizes closest to the dancer’s measurements. We cannot guarantee a perfect fit. Parents/guardians will be responsible for any necessary sizing alterations, or will be responsible for the cost of an additional costume should they request another size be ordered in.

Regular season classes participate in our year-end Showcase, with the exception of technique and adult classes. Tickets are required to watch our Showcase and will be available for purchase closer to the performance dates.

DRESS CODE/UNIFORMS

Proper dance attire is required for each class. Uniform information is available here. Dancers must abide by TDA’s dress code in order to participate in classes.

CLASS PLACEMENT & CHANGES

Placement of students in classes is at the sole discretion of the TDA's Artistic Director. TDA reserves the right to limit class sizes and to cancel or change class times based on availability, enrolment or at the studio director’s discretion. Alternatively, TDA reserves the right to shorten classes that are semi-private.

TUITION & PAYMENT OPTIONS

To confirm your registration and ensure a spot for your dancer, you will be required to by pay the $45.00 registration fee and the costume deposit per class.

A credit card is required on account to register for classes.

The remaining tuition owing can be paid in full online (convenience fees applied), in full via e-transfer, in full by cash, or in monthly payments through autopay. Monthly payments cannot be accepted via e-transfer or cash.

TDA tech classes and TDA Adult classes do not pay a costume fee and will not participate in the year-end Showcase.

TDA's INTENSIVE TRAINING PROGRAM (ITP)

TDA offers an Intensive Training Program (ITP) option for those students who wish to take their dance training to the next level.

If you choose to take part in the ITP, a minimum of four classes per student are required to participate at each level of the ITP except for Ages 5-7 who require three classes:

ITP Ages 5-7 Required classes are jazz, ballet and hip hop.

ITP Ages 8-10 Required classes are jazz, ballet plus 2 or more classes of your choice.

We are offering 15% to 20% off the 2024/2025 season ITP programs, starting at $126.65/month, depending on level and optional classes selected. Prices are plus HST and other seasonal costs.

JUMPSTART

TDA classes are eligible for the Canadian Tire Jumpstart funding. Please contact Jumpstart directly with questions regarding their program.

REFUNDS & CANCELLATION POLICY

In a situation where a student has to discontinue classes, refunds are not available.

Should there be a situation where the studio is shutdown by government order, prorated refunds will be provided.
