Kelsi Wighton

Owner/Director

Miss Kelsi is the Owner and Director of The Dance Alliance which she established in 2015.

Miss Kelsi began dancing at the age of 7 and has studied various styles of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, hip hop, lyrical, musical theatre, and modern. During Miss Kelsi’s dance training she attended numerous conventions in both Canada and the United States, taking master classes from instructors such as Tyce Diorio, Mia Michaels, Marty Kudelka, Paula Morgan, and many more. 

 

Miss Kelsi was awarded various scholarships at these conventions such as Company Dance in the United States, Paula Morgan's ‘Take it Back’ Dance Intensive in Los Angeles, California and the Drop Dance Intensive in Ontario, Canada. As a scholarship winner, Miss Kelsi travelled to Disney World in Florida where she performed at the MGM Studio alongside Allison Holker (SYTYCD and DWTS) in televised events (Fox Sportnet and ESPN) choreographed by Brain Friedman and Cris Judd. She has also participated in the Disney Main Street parade.

 

Over Miss Kelsi’s dance career she has been a member of entertainment/performance groups such as Nu-Limit Entertainment and Thrive Entertainment where she danced alongside Cody Bonnell (SYTYCD Canada), Jasmine Richards (Naturally, Sadie and Camp Rock) as well as Breanna Wong (SYTYCD Canada). She was a member of the Toronto Blues Jays Jr. Dance Activation Team, the University of Western Ontario Dance Force performance group and Western’s varsity team the Western Mustangs Dance Pack.

 

Miss Kelsi's loves of dance has allowed her the opportunity to be involved in theatrical productions such as Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and the King and I at the Huron Country Playhouse in Grand Bend. Locally, Miss Kelsi has been in Annie Get Your Gun, Pal Joey and Smokey Joe’s Café. She has also been in music videos for artists such as K-OS and Melissa O’Neil.

 

Miss Kelsi also has experience on movie sets as well as commercials, the most recent being in 2014 with Blake McGrath.

 

Miss Kelsi interrupted her studies at UWO to accept a performance contract as a Production Dancer with Carnival Cruise Lines. 

 

Miss Kelsi has completed her university degree and is enjoying building her studio.
